Doncaster East Neighbourhood Policing Team has joined forces with local groups in Armthorpe to help improve road safety in the village.

Working alongside Community Speedwatch, community first responders, ward councillors, Armthorpe Parish Council, the neighbourhood & wellbeing team, and the headteachers of Southfield and Tranmoor Schools, this new group has been formed to discuss and seek practical solutions to reduce congestion, enhance safety and helps families commute to school.

🔈 Doncaster East NPT Inspector Alison Carr said: "Speeding is one of the most common contributing factors in fatal and serious road traffic collisions and is rightly an important issue raised by our local communities.

"By working alongside community groups, we can better understand how we can make our roads safer in order to reduce harm and keep everyone safe.

"Policing isn't just about enforcement action and issuing speeding tickets - it's about educating drivers and working alongside communities and being part of this group will help us to do just that."
